Belmont Abbey

The Abbey is still occupied today by Benedictine monks who follow the rule of St Benedict and lead a simple life praying, learning and educating others. Founded in 1859, long after the dissolution of the monasteries, the English Benedictine Congregation was reformed while in exile, the Abbey is dedicated to St Michael and All Angels. Part of the Abbey is a guest house called Henley Lodge. Guests are invited to stay here for holidays, spiritual retreats and conferences while taking in the learning’s of the monks. The Royal Hotel Ross on Wye sits in the heart of the historic Herefordshire Town of Ross on Wye with views over the Wye valley with easy access via the A40.
